fryday i'm going to the track.
it's my first time.
i have a problem, i don't know what tires to use.
i have a set of 185/60/14 and a set of205/40/17
which one will give me better tracion??
my setup.
obd1 zc ( from 93 delsol with p29 ecu 7500 rev limit)
headers
custom cold air intake
msd 6a ignition
msd blaster 2 coil
msd distibuter cap
2" exhaust
no cats
free flow arospeed generation 2 muffler
aeromotive feul press regulator
integra 60mm TB
what kind of tires would be good??
what feul press will be good??
what times do you guys expect from me??

take both sets of tires and a jack. Switch at the track and find out what works best. Since it sounds like it's your first time I'll say a 16.4 with a 1.1 rt on your first run. By the end of the day you will probably have a .7-8 rt and high 15 sec time slips. Goodluck and have fun.

i thought the gtech's where supose to be about .2 sec off at the most, at least thats what ive heard but never using one i dont know how accurate they are.

G-techs are as accurate as you set them up to be - optimum results are on the flatest, smoothest road/track possible...otherwise the readings can be thrown off, which is why you get a general feeling of distrust towards them, and its understandable because many people brag about their g-tech times and they can be innacurate.
a g-tech test at a strip shouldn't be anymore than .1-2sec out.
