Is there a reason you specifically want a B18C5? I only ask because you could build a poor-man's ITR cheaper, and probably not worry about OBD incompatibility.

i'm in the same situation as you as I am planning an a R engine in the future. I've searched around and asked around too, and they say a OBD2 /OBD1 harness will do. People will say go turbo, ls/vtec, and the sugested poorman's type-r, which are good sugestions if you want to really build the engine from inside out.

If I ever get my R engine it will probably be mostly stock aside from the common bolt-ons. I will not turbo it nor will I build it up internally. Just want to have the high-end B engine .

Also If you want the integra-r transmission , they come with type-r swaps available. (of course u can buy it seperately , but its hard to find one by its self at a good price)

i just visited the http://www.jdmhondaparts.com and they have use full information about this at their FAQ in the Engine Packages section. ( i have no experience with this seller though)
