performance chips
what brand of chip is a good kind to get for my car?i am looking to put one on so i can get rid of my governor and pick up some additional hp.any info would be appreciated.peace
If you are interested in getting your ECU chipped, I have a buddy here that can help you with deciding what chip is good for your driving style and he can also install it for you too. PM if you are interested.
I only use SK2, I pretty much hate everything else (PYR, SPOON1, MUGEN1, etc.) but that's just me... I haven't ever tried the SPOON2 but I hear it is similar to the Skunk... Good Luck!!!
I would go with a Hondata system or AEM EMS... Both of those will give you lots of tuning options. The AEM EMS more so, but it is a bit expensive. I don't recommend the chipped ecu's unless you buy from a reliable source. One thing for sure is most chipped ecu's will run ALOT richer so you go through more gas... They are nice to have, but you will benefit more by having Hondata or AEM EMS.
this may be a dumb question, but what the hell is a hondata system, is it a control module or something.how much is it and how hard is it to install?thanks for any info.peace
