Default HELP: Ignition Switch & Door Keyholes

A few days ago, some low life thieves attempted to steal my car. I'll create another thread with the details but as for now, I need to know....

How should I go about getting/replacing my ignition switch/steering column and the driver's side keyhole? New or used? Would I have to run different keys or can it be "reprogramed" to my old keys?

Also, Would this be something I could do myself or would I have to bring it to some place to get done?

The ignition lock and such is replaceable. It's one pain in the ***, but you may have to replace the steering column.

There is someone on here who is selling a couple JDM SiRII ignition keys with the keys with it for $50. I just cannot remember the username.

You cannot get it 'programmed' to your keys.

As for the door locks, I'd recommend you get some 4 door handles and get keyless entry, as you most likely would have to use 2 different keys to get inside the car, then start up the car.

And you can definitely can do it yourself. The door handles are absolute cake, as for the ignition lock, you will probably have to take a little time on that.

Like an hour or so

When my car was broken into, I got a new door key cylinder from the dealer and had it re-keyed by a locksmith to work with my existing key. I'm not sure about the ignition cylinder though. I eventually went with the 4dr rear handles. The handles came prepainted from Honda and are only $35 each from http://www.ahmotor.com , which is about the same cost for new key cylinders and rekeying.
