So, this past friday I went to go Find Nemo with my girl and some friends. Come back to the parking lot to find my car fucked up.

At first impression, it seemed like it was just some vandalism. I thought someone just bashed my passenger side window. At closer inspection, I see glass all over my passenger side seat, my missing shift **** (Momo), to my missing head unit, to my FUCKED UP THE *** ignition switch. Walk towards the driver's side to see the keyhole FUCKED UP! Also notice my hood was popped, postive battery terminal disconnected. Opened my trunk to see my missing Craftsman tool set, Razor scooter, 10" sub, and 600w kenwood amp.

One thing I didnt know was that it is possible to pop my hood without even being inside the car. That **** pissed me off.

If the dumbasses didn't short something out, they probably would've started the car. But they shorted something out which blew the ignition switch fuse. They wanted the whole car for the engine, wheels, headlights, and everything else. But they fucked up so they got what they can get.

So.. here's a list of what was lost while I was trying to find Nemo.

- Pioneer head unit
- 10" 600w Kenwood Sub/Box
- 600w Kenwood Amp
- Craftsman 150+ piece tool set
- Razor Scooter
- 50+ CD's
- Sharp 4.0 megapixel Digital Camera

- Passenger side window
- Driver's side keyhole
- Ignition switch/steering column

There's more but I'm not thinking straight right now. **** thieves! What can I do though? My insurance is only liability. I'm trying to see wassup with home owner's insurance. I don't know where to start with the rebuild. I dont even wanna rebuild it. **** HONDAS! Stupid *** hood latch cable. I need advice. WHAT SHOULD I DO??

BTW, my friend parked his DA dropped on Blitz wheels RIGHT next to me. Only thing that happened to his car was a popped hood, disconnected battery terminal, and open door. Door keyholes were clean. Ignition switch wasnt fucked with. He had two 10's and an amp in the trunk. And one of those head units that flip to hide the face. Now what the **** is up with that??

 

This happened in Burbank in the parking lot behind the AMC 14 Theaters.

Sorry to hear another thief reaps the benefits of our hard earned property. My Skunk 2 shift ****, Head unit and of all things they stole one of my second set of rims i was using for a spare. You know one Prelude blade is 200 ******* dollars at a god damn rip your *** a new one junkyard. Thieves suck....

Sorry bout that dude. Yea I don't roll to the theater in the lude at all. Always use the beater, sorry bout it. Will you insurance cover some of the damages though?

It's just an exaggeration dude. But actually the secondary (mild 1st stage) shock sensor is set so that if a cat jumps on my car, it will go off and page me. If I'm at home during the day, the vibrations from the trash truck will set it off and so will extremely loud thunder. Better safe than sorry...

If you've never seen one before, check the CompuStar site and I can take pictures of how they have it hooked up on my car. It starts the car, opens/closes the sunroof, rolls the windows up/down, pops trunk, etc...I haven't gotten the anti-carjacking feature activated yet though.

But if I may suggest for those others out there...get a hood lock and hood pin. It's the best investment you'll ever make towards protecting your car.

You can have the most expensive alarm in the world. But if all it takes is popping your hood and cutting the wire, then the expensive alarm aint going to do shiet for you (unless you have a backup battery w/ siren).

Sorry to gear that man. I probrably woulda thrown up if someone had done that **** to my car.

I dont know about the fourth gen's but I know the Fifth Gen Preludes cannot be hot wired. You have to have YOUR key in there or it wont start. If there is any way for a thief to get around this, its news to me.

 

Damn that sucks. Same thing happens at the theaters here. They try to jack your car while you are at the movies, cuz they know that you will be away from your car for at least 2 hours. DAMN THEIVES!!!

 

that sucks man, i always park my lude right in front of the movie theaters usually where the ticket boots and the main entrance is..that way if someone were to try and jack my **** their would be a bunch of people there.....i hope

To be honest, it's very shallow for people to even get the idea to do such cruel acts such as this. I am truly sorry to hear about your car. As hard as it may seem, try to stay positive about the entire situation. Just keep in mind that support is always here on H-T for you!
