can i convert my obd2 distributor to obd 1??(searched)

car=93 civic cx
swap=complete d16y8

question=i have a p28 ecu but am having a real hard time getting a obd1 sohc vtec dizzy. can i rewire my obd2 dizzy that came with my swap to work with obd1?? if so what do i need to do. thanks

dizzy? never heard that slang for ECU before.

dizzy=distributor

anyways, i'm pretty sure you can.

cut the plugs on both dizzys.. take the obd2 dizzy and match with obd1 plugs... you are set!

if you are patient, you could also just pull the pins out and re-pin into the obd1 plugs. will work just fine.

There is a wire missing on the OBD2 dizzy. You have to add it to make it work. I did this on my 92 DX with my 99 D16Y8. I rewired the the OBD1 plugs and added the one wire.
