You can repin the plugs from the distributer to match with the harness, given that you still have the OBD1 distributer from the old motor. Just switch from the OBD2 (one plug) to the obd1 (2 plugs) by repinning them. If you are talking about something completely different, then I'm a retard, plus the hangover doesn't help.

Why yes you can reiwre an OBD2 dizzy to work in an OBD1 car as someone else already said.
I had to do this with my fiancee's 1999 B16A2 swap into her 1992 Civic Si hatchback. We had to use her engine harness which supports the two-plug type dizzy, while the OBD2 B16A2 dizzy only came with one plug.
These pics will illustrate the MINOR changes you'll need to do in order to make it work for you.
First here is the OBD1 style two-plug engine harness intended for the two-plug OBD1 dizzy:
Next here is the OBD2-type dizzy plug:
Simply unpin and move the two bottom fat-*** wires in the one-plug OBD2 dizzy and add them to the "extra" plug that the OBD1 engine harness will have. The wires should even match in color.
Easy enough?

I just swapped out the internals of the dizzy with my OBD-2 stuff, that way I have newer parts and no need to re-wire.
this was going from a 98 D16Y8 to a 95 B18B

Yes, an OBDII distributer works fine with a 1992-1995 OBDI ECU (or vice versa). You just can;t mix and match 1988-1991 and 1992+ stuff.

No.
The pulse rates for a pre-OBD distributor and the OBD1 distributor are totally different.
