I got the rear handles off of a 96-98 civic 4 door. They bolt in perfect and i also installed a keyless entry system. Turned out very nice. No one ever notices though. Heres a pic.

I know they will bolt up, but is there anything you have to do with the rods?

I have an optima red top so i dont really worry about the battery dieing. As far as the rods you dont have to do anything other than remove the rod that used to go to the locks so it doesnt get it the way.

you could open the trunk, then pull those rods that unlock the seat, push the seat down then climb into the car. never done it but i think it would work.
