What is the piston to wall clearance that you fully built turbo guys are using?

Default What is the piston to wall clearance that you fully built turbo guys are using?

just like the topic said, what is your piston to wall clearance on your built hondas?

75.5mm bore, Endyn/Wiseco pistons. I used .0029". I also used .012" on the upper ring gap and .012" on the lower. 500 miles on the engine so far and it's running good.

The pistons don't slap nearly as much as I was expecting.

it depends on your pistons set, some have more or less silicone in it, therefore, more or less clearance needed for expansion. Stock run .001 due to high silicone, most aftermarket runs anywhere from .020 to .035.

That will depend on what piston manufactor you use. Endyn calls for very close clearances, .0028-.0029". Very tight!

my arias are set at .035. they recommended me the clearance at .030 to .040, i chose a nice medium. well, actually i talked to the guy who machine my block, he said it was closer to .0345 but whatever.
