Default b16 block with GSR internals????

If i bore it to match the pistons, will the crank and everything clear??? Might be getting a block, need to know if it will work, or even a ls crank and internals....

I know its prolly a stupid question, but amuse me

Well you wouldn't have to bore the block to put GSR pistons in because the B18A/B/C and B16 blocks have the same stock bore. As for the crank and rods you could put the LS or GSR crank in there but you would need custom rods. not a very good idea.

you can use b17 gsr internals. that would bump you up to a 1.7. if you where going to use a b18c craink you would have to have custom rods that are shorter or pistons with the wrist pins moved up, maby even bolth. i'm pretty shure the signal crx is running a wierd set up like that.

best way to stroke a b16 = b17 rods and crank.

87.2-89mm crank in the B16A (263mm) block running custom pistons with a high set wristpin and custom rods ='s a really really shitty R/S... I wouldn't recommend it at all for that reason... I would just get a B18C block... Just my $0.02

Easiest way to stroke a B16?....Buy a B18. Do you have a bare B16 block that you are wanting to do this for or soemthing or what? Why bother? Plenty of GSR or LS short blocks to be had.

I agree with you totally... Changin the R/S affects the overall revs and output of the motor to a point... The B18C (87.2mm) crank in a B16A block will have you right around 1.50... That's 0.04:1 less than a B18A/B/B20B/Z which is 0.04:1 less rev happy than a B18C/1/5... 1.58 is good for me atleast rev and power wise... Just my $0.02 again... Latez
