is this a bad idea? if so where else can i get my feed source from?

 

Well if you have an oil pressure gauge then you dont need the stock oil pressure sensor... all it does is activate the light in your gauge cluster. It wont do anything if you remove it for the feed for the turbo.

just make sure you keep your eye on the oil pressure gauge and check oil level often.

 

i ran my oil feed off the head on my nonvtec heads. i put a guage on the line and it was always at 5-10psi... perfect for the turbo. there's two hex caps under the distributor on the b18a/b and b20b/z heads. honda put them there to close the holes after they line bored the head.

 

I could be totally wrong... and correct me if i am...

But i dont think 5 psi is enough to lubricate something spinning at those crazy RPMs. I dont know if it would be a wise idea to tap it on the head, or else everyone else would be doing it too

 

5psi is definitely not enough oil pressure for a turbo...

 

if i did take out the sensor wouldn't my oil light always be on? Also where the hell would i put it? Just leave it hangin? Cuz i damn sure ain't gonna cut it off, cuz imma need to put it back on for cali emmisions.

Can't you just use a T fitting? That's what we're doing with my girlfriend's Integra. And that's what we did with the old SC setup on my Maxima. That way, no oil lights.

Yes, that will work, I have mine the same way. You can get a female tee and use that also... or the GE oil adapter thing will work...

I can make you a kit to where you can run oil feed, and oil pressure gauge as well as stock oil pressure sender. But you can take the stock oil pressure sender out and you will not get a light, if you have a gauge you can use it to your judgement

i just used 2 brass tee's on the back of the block. One for the gauge and one for the oil feed. It worked fine for 2 years.
