Default ls/vtec

i heard that ls/vtec will allow you to run low 14's. What do u actually need for the conversion and how much does it cost around. Also will ls/vtec cause any problems for the engine?

A LS/VTEC that is done right will not cause any engine problems. If you do all the labor yourself, it can be done for around $1200 or so. There is a pretty long list of things needed...here's the majority of them...

VTEC Head, ECU, Oil pump, Water pump, Distributor
LS Head gasket, timing belt
Oil Line fittings

It is also wise to swap out pistons, since the motor will be out anyway.
CTR or JDM B16 SiRII pistons are well worth the money...

Put it all together and you now have a 13 or 14 sec LS
