I am planning on building a mini-me with a d15b7 and a z6 head. I know what parts I need, I just need some expert advice.

First the D15B7 has 200 kms on it (roughly 125 miles), the compression test came back with 165,170,175,165. My question is is this good enough compression to put together a mini-me?

Secondly, I plan to put in a ZEX 59300, will I run into any issues using this came on a mini-me? Any timing problems or clearance issues?

Also any recommend a good cam gear?

well i did the same thing and to tell you it wasn't worth it. There wasn't that big of a gain. Plus i had 10k less miles than you and i snaped the rod. If i was you i would look into a d16a6 bottom end and a y8 head than you'll be happy

no but what i am saying is be carefull. With that many miles and such tiny rods you might throw one. but thats just my personal exprince.

 

Anyway to tell if rods are in need of replacing?

Also anyone have any clue what head studs will work with the d15b7 bottom and z6 head? Do I use z6 studs or d15b7 studs or does it matter?

 

someone has to know the answer to the head stud question . . .

 

Do a side by side compairison.

Or contact ARP directly and ask them if there is a difference.
I am fairly certain they are the same size.
