it won't be absolutely necessary but it wouldn't hurt, either. When you get an alignment after dropping the car, they'll usually give you camber specs. You can decide from that if you need/want a camber kit or not. I'm dropped 2.5"/2.25" front and rear and don't use one. I should ... but i don't. I'll probably get one soon, though.

You dont need a camber kit, it will just save the life of your tires. I roughly have a 2 inch drop on my ek and i go through tires sort of quick because i am not using a camber kit.

i'm 1.75 front adn 1.5 rear, i did the rear washer mod for the back camber (cost $2 and now its at factory specs) and the front is at -1.5º of camber. i got a good alignmetn ($60) and my tire wear is perfect.

whoever says that their camber messes up their tires are wrong, its all about the toe in/out being fixed by getting an alignment.

i wouldn't waste the money on a camber kit unless u have money to blow like that...otherwise i think your fine with only that drop

For the rear there's a washer trick that you can do to adjust the camber. If I find the page I'll post it here.
