Default How to keep bolts from backing outta my Turbo/downpipe

I've heard it happens a lot. Is there anyway to keep them from coming lose. Anyone have studs? I've tighten mine 3 times in 1 1/2 months. Like 3500 miles boosted. That **** is so freaking annoying not to mention embarrassing, car sounds like a freaking beater.....

o yea this problem SUCKS. Order a gasket from road race, then get studs. I got mine through ARP. I have yet to have a problem since then. been a year now.

Get some lockwashers on there and it should hold.

I had the same problem. After every few WOT runs they come loose

Your best bet is to stud them!

I would us locktite on every bolt thats getting heated then cooled. ie: exhaust parts and charge piping.

I had this problem mostly with Wastegate bolts, one with downpipe, but i say use some loctite and it should hold.

I hate this problem. I do the "good old bolt tightening Routine" about every other night. I get a slight exhaust leak about every 2 days or so. I go through and torque the DP bolts, WG bolts, and occassionally the Manifold bolts during my tightening routine

i agree, saftey wire them. lock washers dont work because they compress flat and stay that way then they heat up.

combo of vibration and heat changes antwaine

either use some lock tite and have fun getting them off if you ever need to or stud them.

Funny thing is my wastegate bolts used to back out and I kept tightening them and they just stopped backing out one day...so i guess I got lucky.
