I just install an HKS SSQ BOV and I cant hear a damn thing. is there something to it? Im only running 6 pounds of boost right now. I tried the purple valve and the one that comes with it, the purple one I didnt hear a thing, but the stock one Ii can hear a little when I really let the turbo spool.
it seems like the BOV is working right open when I let off the gas, I even tried playing with the stifness, and that didnt do anything.
anyone have any ideas.
I knwo this is a pretty gay question, but I just spent a **** load of money on my turbo and now I cant hear it

do you have a good vacuum source? i know when i boost less than 5psi mine is really quiet it doesnt get loud untill 6psi+

 

my buddies on his b18b @ 4 psi is like a little flutter sound... but audible so you should still here it.

once he goes about 8 psi it gets much louder, like the bird getting raped noise.
