Turbo car overheating... help
Just finished turboing a B16. The car runs fine but after like a few mins (3 mins) barely boosting the car overheats. It goes way into the H zone.
We had to use a half sized 92-95 Civic radiator and an aftermarket fan. Fan works fine.
There are no leaks. Also the reservoir thing was filled up half way but when it overheated, the thing was filled to the top
We turned on the heater....and there is no heat whatsoever. Just cool air.
Could this mean that the radiator is clogged? Bad Thermostat? Bad Radiator cap?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks !

Even when the car is moving (not boosting, just cruising) , the car still overheats.

No smoke coming from the exhaust. But could a very small leak cause the engine to overheat and cause no smoke to come out from the exhaust?
Oh yeah, like if I shut it off and let it cool for a few mins then turn it back on, and leave it idling for 5 mins it doesn't overheat....

look under the radiator cap. you might find milky stuff. If so, its your headgasket, or like boosted hybrid said, the head is lifting. Get some ARP's.

what about the water pump? you can check that...

There was heat before, now there is no heat coming out from the vents when I have it set at maximum blast.
All I did was remove the radiator (full size) and put in a half size radiator. Those two big lines are the only ones that I touched

Id replace the thermostat. feel the hoses, are they both hot or only one? if its only one hose. dead thermostat.
bleed out all the air bubbles?

How do you bleed out the air bubbles? I dumped out the radiator fluid and and closed the bottom valve then poured in new fluid.
to bleed the rad, let it idle for 45 minutes with the radiator cap off and watch bubbles come out. refill every so often.

right before my turbo install, my thermostat was working fine. right after the install it just happen to break..
to bleed the coolant on my car, i took off the cap. Then I loosened the bleeder screw until there was a constant flow while the car was running...

when that happens it sounds like the head gaskets is going. Usually when there is no heat going to the inside. Give it about couple more min. of driving white smoke will come out and overheat.
