Default Overheating problem...

My car starts overheating when I'm running A/C and the car is sitting still...works fine as long as I'm moving, and the temp. gauge usually goes down. I can't think of what's making it do that. Suggestions?

I had a small hole in one of my hoses for two days before I figured it out. The temp would stay normal as long as I was moving but when I stopped it would go up. Might want to check your hoses.

hmm.... same here.
i went to a shop last week and they told me that my thermostat is gone.

i checked the hoses. the larger ones are fine, but the small one connected to the coolant resovior is kinda leaking right where the radiator cap is. can this be the problem?

you ought to check your fuses and make sure the one for the fan is in good condition... if it is, let the car run till the primary fan kicks on... when it kicks on tunr on the ac and the secondary should also kick on...

and man if your thermostat is ****, fix it or at least pull it out... that'd prolly solve the problem... if its not that then you just have to start looking else where

Yeah I was thinking it might be the thermostat as well, I'm going to take the whole front end off this next week because I'm going to be driving from KS to AZ the week after. Oh by the way, there is a kink in one of my A/C hoses going to the reciever/drier, hasn't made much difference still blows cold air.
