Default Fuel injector resistor box...

Search yeilded no answer.

I was trying to start my 1st gen. B16A in my 92 CX hatch. I have spark and fuel pressure, however I've been informed that I need a fuel injector resistor box.

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I was told I need an 88-91 CRX fuel injector resistor box. Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

On the harness that connects the four injectors, I have a plug that is not connected to anything. It has four red wires, and one yellow wire. These five wires need to be connected to the resistor box?

I hope I can find the box today so I can start the engine tonight, any other pointers, good mounting location?

TIA!!!

Search does wonders... I wasn't using the right terms when searching...

Could someone verify that this is the right wiring I should do? Also, I do need the box from an 88-91 CRX, what model, Si? Thanks...

Thanks.

Alright, after reading through everything, I've found it pretty helpful, only problem is that my harness has different colored wires, and the previous diagram used 6 wires!? Mine only has five.

So, off of my fuel injectors I have a harness that has a female plug. It contains four red wires w/ black stripes, and one yellow wire w/ a black stripe. So when I get the fuel injector resistor box from an 88-91 CRX I will just connect each of the red wires w/ black stripe to a black wire from the box. I will have to strip and connect the wires…Do I just connect any wire, with no particular order, right? As for the yellow wire, where does it ago, it might have been added by the pervious owner, not totally sure.

TIA.

I just called honda. They can't seem to find a resistor box, the parts person was really confused, so I told him it is for an 88 CRX Si. He doesn't have it in stock, but the part cost $113.09.

What other model should I try? Their is a junk yard around here, I can go at lunch and have them pull one, from what cars can I look for one, please help...

Help!!!

TIA

just keep your eye open in the classifieds or somewhere here on H-T i see em all the time going for 20-35 bucks
or just go to a local junkyard and look for a MPFI honda and take a 10mm socket/ratchet and get one that way.

Why would you want to hack in a resistor box when you could just use obd 1 saturated injectors and be done.

I tried different injectors, they would not fit. So any MPFI resistor box will work? Cool. Thanks!

Well, lucky me - for the first time in my life.

I went to lunch, on the way I stopped at the honda wrecking year, took 10 minutes and bought a MPFI resistor box of a CRX or Integra.

Now, my only question is, the four red wires on my B16A 1st gen harness will connect to the black wires on the box. Now where do I connect the 12 volt power wire?

TIA

See what happens when no one helps. I have to figure it out myself.

Well I use the extra harness as a 12 volt power, only one wire needed from their. Then all black wires to all red wires. Their is a 10mm hole next to the brake cylinder where I can mount the box. I will let you know if it works.

See the harness with the red dot, one wire off their is the power supply. I will connect that to the red wire off the box. Some one post quick if this is wrong, which I don't think it is...

use your cx injectors and be done, they are the same 240cc injectors that the b16 has, don't hack all that other crap

Well, I installed the box and the engine started right up. However it is running way too rich.

The stock cx injectors do not fit on the harness.

Hey, Pat..try using your stock ECU! That P28 that I gave you has a PYR program so that maybe your "rich" problem. If you have a friend that has a OBD1 vtec ecu borrow it and run that real quick to see if there is a difference.
