Default check engine light 71, 72, 73, 74.....

I know what the codes mean, but what causes them?

I used to get them in my old itr with spec b's, but it still made power so I didn't give a crap.

Now my new itr with just i/h/e throws these codes too.... wtf? I wrapped the 2ndary o2 in foil and it's not even in the exhaust stream so what's going on here?

I dont think it has anything to do with your second O2. Maybe the primary, but not the second.

Misfire codes usually are ignition related.
Plugs fouled
Wires loose
Need new dist cap/rotor

Or fuel related:
AFC/Fields faulty
Fuel pump/ fuel regulator
fuel injector clips loose

Misfire cylinders 1,2,3,4

you got toda cams in that thing? those will do it. if not, check your spark plugs
and other ignition related parts, those are the first to cause it

.....nah, no toda cams in this motor (yet ).

I guess I'll check the ignition stuff like you said. Thanks.

BTW: what exactly is it about the toda cams that causes that? .....it was always a little bit annoying.
