You could get the correct pistons or have your head milled that should raise your compression.

I had the same problem, I used a spoon 2 piece headgasket, as well as had my head shaved.
If you take the head gasket, head and pistons to a machine shop they can get you to your desired cr.

I went from 8.8:1-9.5:1

Read what you said again

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Killer_B &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i ordered a set of 9:1 compression pistons for my GSR block with a B16 Head but instead they sent me pistons for a 9:1 Compression for a Ls/Vtec.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

They fucked up on the order. Send the pistons back and get your real pistons, and make them pay for the shipping. You shouldn't have to deal with a setup that you don't want because some tit in their shipping department messed up.

BTW, if you are dead-set on keeping those pistons, I don't see how they would be near 8:1. Pistons for a 9:1, 81MM bore LS/vtec should have a dish of about 7CC's. A 7CC dished piston in your motor would result in around 8.8:1 compression. Not a huge difference, I doubt you'd even notice it on the street, but send them back and get your real ones regardless.

So why not just put in those pistons and a thinner Cometic headgasket. The new hg will raise you cr a few more points i would expect.
