Default Car turns off DURING nitrous run!!

The scariest thing happened today. I just installed a NX direct port kit on my h22 accord. I was told by some people online to use the 22N/16F jets for an 80hp shot. I was also told by someone at NX to use a 22N/18F @ 10psi for a 75hp shot. The direct port kit does not come with #16 jets, so I used the #18 fuel jets, think that it will run because the stock fuel pressure is at ~42psi, and WOT im guessing a lot more. So quite a bit richer.

So I went to the track, turned on my NX controller, sprayed through 4 gears, then when I let go of the gas after the 1/4 track, the car turns off. Luckily I had enough speed to coast to a safe place. I tried to start the car but it wouldnt start. So I turned the key and gave it gas and it started. Everything seemed fine at that point so I took another run about 45min-1hr later. The same thing happened when I let go of the nitrous....engine dies and starts when i give it gas. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON???? Could the engine die because there is too much fuel? Im waiting for my engine to cool before I check the spark plugs.

My setup:

98 jdm h22a, NX direct port, MSD digi6+ and SS coil, NGK bkr7e, 91 octane gas, and your basic intake, exhaust, pullies, etc.

Where can I buy a good compression tester? What other test should I run on my car? Im really worried.

is it your first time spraying that car? does it feel the same with the bigger fuel jets? i think your flooding the motor with too much gas and it just stalls out once you let go of the gas.....

I had the single fogger kit before and upgraded to the direct port. I hope there is no damage to the motor. It scared the crap out of me. No sounds like a blown engine, or coolant in the bay.

you posted the thumbnails originally... They look a little on the white side to me, which is a lean indication. What gap size are you running?

you need to check your fuel jettings. From what it sounds like your flooding your motor with too much fuel. I use to have that problem after I sprayed. So, I would rev my motor a few times after a run to burn the fuel in my motor.

Then I tuned it with a smaller fuel jetting and it was fine after that.

yah those plugs are way lean your not getting any fuel thats a reason why your car might be shutting off. you might need bigger injectors or to retard your timing for that big of a shot. you might also want to see about bumping fuel pressure when your on the bottle like to 45 see how that runs 48.. 50 and so on you may also need a fuel pump. I know on my b16 i really couldnt go over 50 on the dyno stock pump and injectors limited me.

exactly you don't want to look at the tip, you want to look around the rim of the spark plug. They look like it's pretty dark, i'd say running way to rich.

My votes too rich, washing the plugs out which is why they are clean/white and dark around the edges. Trim back your fuel, and retard 2 degrees.

I ran a horrible *** time. I decided to race with my 18" wheels because I was being a dumbass. I am here in Colorado, eleveation 6000ft. The last time I ran with a 50hp single fogger shot I ran a 14.9 on my stock tires. This time I ran an amazing 16 flat. Cool huh? riiiiiiight. Im going to the track next wed with the AN-R header and hopefully this nitrous crap under control.

So when you look at plugs, you dont look at the tip? You look at the ring around it? I thought it was lean from the tips, but hopefully not.

Im running a new set of bkr7e's with no changes to the gap size because i was told not to by many on h-t.com

I just did a compression test:

First time: from cyl 1-4, 190, 197, 200, 207
Second time, from cyl 1-4, 192, 202, 205, 202

What are the approx stock numbers for a jdm h22a?
