Someone tell me what the hell is wrong with my 1st gear
Im not sure what the hell the problem is but everytime when im comming to a stop and try to put it in first from a slow roll it grinds like crazy, it doesnt do this in any other gear or when im at a dead stop. Anyone got ideas????
I am assuming you have a 4th gen. Well if you do, then get use to it. 4th gens (well vtec's model) are know to grind when tryin to put them in first gear without coming to a complete stop. Either stop all the way and put it in first or when rollin go right into 2nd.
definately need to get used to it. my 4th gen did the exact same thing with both the h23 and h22 trannies. i think it's some sort of safety feature so you don't f&^k up ur tranny
I think itz just that you try putting it in gear while you were still rolling too fast... maybe rev match it into 1st? and how fast were you going when you hear the grinding noise?

Also i was told that i might need to adjust something with the acctual clutch pedal. Does anyone know what i need to do to adjust this or has anyone done it?
I didn't think that you could adjust the clutch pedal since it's a hydraulic clutch. Could be synchro's as mentioned earlier. Check your clutch fluid, it could be low. Otherwise, just deal...I have with my 4g since I have bought it, it hates to go into first unless I am almost completely stopped...5g's may have the same picky tranny.
