Found out my car used to be auto... :cry:
well.. as the h22 progress .. uh progresses, lol... i've come to find out that my car used to be auto.
wierd mount on tranny, some mess of wires in the center console.... it all adds up.
it was auto
is there anyway to make it so i dont have to keep that wiring harness crap? and still take out my key? ya know how its supposed to make the car think its in park or whatever?
yea. my car is cursed.

well, you said yourself the wiring is different... so yes, it is. auto have the wires for the shifter, and manual don't.

are you not able to take the key out now?
you can do one of two things if so
1. Take out the locking pin in the ignition console this is what I did instead of option #2
2. ground the park wire so the car will always "think" its in park so you may remove the key
Option 1 is the best so just in case you swap ECU's you can still remove the key
