cold air intake bypass valve. worth it? opinions needed
i recently bought a aem cai. i was wondering if i should by the bypass valve. i know its a good "just in case" thing. i also know it lowers performance. i ve heard mixed opions. i would like to hear from people that actually know what there talking about so decided to ask honda-tech. thanks. o yeah, i also like in seattle

doesn't it rain a lot in seattle? if so, i'd use it. but since it doesn't rain where I live, I never needed one. you know exactly what it does, right?

It barely hinders performance and its not like an intake is increasing performance by that much anyway. If you are paranoid or just want the piece of mind, get one, its only like $50.

how ofter do you drive in 2 feet of standing water?? The only reason i think you would neeed one of these is "if" you got you cai filter under water, which prolly wouldnt happen unless you like to drive in floods, just my .02

sometime it is pretty hard tho, if you live in the valley during the rainy season, some of those intersections are like lakes. And there's so much traffic behind you, you dont get the option to turn around.
Just go with the Iceman intake, black plastic(doesnt stand out), funnel shape for increased air velocity, and it's a 2 piece setup so you can run it CAI or short ram for rainy weather.
Edit: oops didnt see you already bought the AEM, sellit then get the Iceman and pocket the difference.
