How do I know when it is time to change the rotors without it being too late?

 

I just had my front rotors changed, I have 268,000 miles on it. They were finally starting to pulsate and I doubt there was enough meat left on them to cut them. The new ones are so smooth. Rears are still original. Since they are solid I don't worry about them so much.

 

You should change them when they are beyond spec on runout or thickness. That'll be in the service manual.

rotors are a pain a bitch to change on 4th gen accords. i finally got the bearing/hub/rotor off the knuckle but cant get the freakin hub off the rotor!!!!!! i think im just gonna take it to the shop cause i fawked up my bearing and i hear u need to get that pressed off. such a pain!!!

 

dont change brake pads and rotors at the same time. so one then wait couple of days to break it in then change the other.

 

when you can't stop lol....
