anyone running the Max rev kit on si?
my boys is thinking of getting their kit for his 99 si...anyone else running it? tell me what you think, i think it looks pretty good, especially for the price...
I'm running it and I like it. Only problem is that it's not as complete as I'd like for a "kit." But still, for the price, it's a good deal.
besides fuel and managment, piping and dump tube
youll need
oil pan gasket
manifold gasket
heat wrap for the oil return line
youll probly need a slim pusher fan , maybe 2
colder plugs
boost gauge (at least boost. oil pressure and egt would be nice)
and a filter (or u could use a mesh screen )
and i heard the bov sucks
i sold mine
never tried it
good kit though
i cant wait to get mine in

I have it also on my 1999 Civic Si, and what everbody here said about how it isn't complete is right, it's just a start up kit, but you will need to pick up additional parts like.:
-More piping,
-Transition piping
-Transition hoses
-Possible oil lines
-Charge pipe for turbo, custom made
-Test pipe cuase Down pipe requires it,
-Fuel Managment woudl be nice
-Dump tube for Wastegate, custom
-miscs gaskets
-new Wastegate gasket when the stock paper gasket blows and you buy a new FireRing gasket which you will cause the surface isn't true so you will EVENTUALLY pick up one anyway
-Guages, boost, oil Pres, Fuel Pres
-Charge pipe from intercooler to throttle body,
-New BOV (picked me up a Blitz one)
-Flange for BOV
-I didn't get a flange for my dumptube for my Wastegate, had to buy one
-heat wrap around A/C lines, and turbo outlet near my DP
-High temp paint to paint all the piping that you are going to use
-MISC bolts and handles and brackets, some brackets would be nice for your intercooler
....
.. uh, did I forget something.
Anyway, those are some of the things that you will STILL need to pick up after you get your maxrev ....kit.... thing.
Nice thing to startup with, but if you are thinking of just buying a kit.. and just bolting it on a going for runs, you might want to look somewhere else. But if you do go with your maxrev, and finish it all up, it comes out pretty nice actually.
