Can someone help me out a Qauife lsd
after research and what alot say on this board is that a qauife lsd is the best bang for my buck! Now for my 97gsr, what do i need. Do i just buy the quaife lsd for around 900 and have it installed. Are there anything else i should get or need.....tranny, clutch etc,,,
also any idea how much an install would run around?

No you can get just the LSD it would be just great but I reccomend those thing's. I believe that the Quaife Comes with all you need. Expect to pay about 600-1000$ for install.
Definitely do clutch while it out if you haven't already. A final drive is nice but suitable for highway driving. Depends on what you , drag or autocross. A lightened flywheel is more suitable for autocrossin, stay with stock for drag racing.
Hi,
Just try to take care of everything tranny related while it's open. It's not necessarilly cheap, but you won't want to break the tranny open again anytime soon.
For example, if you have a lot of miles on your tranny or it's starting to grind, this would be a good time to get new synchros. If you want an upgraded clutch, now is also the time.
I went all out and got a USDM ITR tranny, Spoon flywheel, ACT clutch, KAAZ LSD, and JDM FD. If you drive a lot on the hwy, you may not want the JDM FD, hehe. 80 mph is like 4600 rpm. It does pull VERY nicely though. Also depends on whether you stay all motor or want to go FI.
Good luck,

Get a helms manual, a good transmission jack, and do the install yourself. You will save a ton of $$$ and learn a lot in the process. Get new diff bearings from Honda also. The bearing races never press off the old diff without damage. Its better just to get new ones. Any competent machine shop will be able to press the bearings on. Also, have a machine shop remove the vss drive gear from the stock diff and press it on to the Quaife.
The entire cost of labor (that was not my own) was about $100.
