installed my Vafc... problem?
I initialized all my settings as per instructions and started the car last night to see if everything was working fine. Went to the monitoring selection and I am getting proper numbers for rpm, throttle, all the voltages seem correct. The only problem is whenever I shut my car down the vafc resets itself and I have to initialize it all over again
Has anyone had this problem? I am almost completly positive all my connections are correct( I triple checked them before the install ) Need help or any advice, Thanks

I'm sure that the VAFC memory is not sustained unless you connect it to any wire which is hot all the time just like this one in the radio.

hmm no... I made a mistake before
But I found something on apexi Q&A page:
Q: SAFC/VAFC/AVCR: My SAFC/VAFC/AVCR does not retain any of the data that I program into it? Is something wrong?
A: Please make sure that the INITIALIZE setting is set to the NO position. This menu can be found udner the ETC. Mode. The INITAILIZE setting should never be set to YES unless you want to reset all of the information to the default factory settings
Hope this helps

As far as I know the VAFC should not reset itself, any adjustments/tuning you do to it will stay in its memory even if you pull the 7.5 fuse or disconnect the negative.
Well after reading your post I went out and initialized it, this time leaving it on "no" and it worked. Man, your a good guy pentaq, you just saved me from ripping my ecu out again. This
is for you!
is for you!
