Default Help me choose between these 2 decks

I'm picking up a new deck in the next week or so, my current JVC KD-S730 isn't cutting it anymore (it won't even play burned CDs ). I've narrowed it down to the following 2 choices, based on cost (primarily) and reputation for quality:

JVC KD-SX980

Pioneer DEH-P4500MP

I don't really want fanciness or blingin' lights, just a solid deck with decent clarity that plays CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 .

Does anyone have experience with these two decks, ie which one is more reliable, layout of buttons, easy to use, if one has better features than the other... TIA!

Thanks for your advice guys. The JVC looked nicer but the Pioneer had the edge on price by $40 so I went that way.

Go with the Pioneer, JVC doesn't hold a hair when it comes to quality. And I am an installer at Best Buy so this is coming form experience. I rarely see Pioneers come back for service, and I see JVCs come back all the time.
