Speakers recommendation for 99 Gsr
I am just looking to replace all six speakers. No amp and I am looking for it to run off the factory head deck. I would like just a little more punch and better clarity at higher volumes. Price doesn't matter to much. I have been looking at component, but have only seen it with the two speakers and two tweeters. Do they make component audio for for four speakers and two tweeters?
Don't expect big gains by upgrading the speakrs and still powering them with the headunit. The biggest difference will come with the installation of an amp. You don't need a million watts, around 50w per channel will do.
Either way, check out Infinity's speakers. Nice bang for the buck, and decent sound.
Component sets come in 2 way (midbass + tweeter) and 3 way (midbass + midrange + tweeter). You can purchase one 2 way set, and add on some midbass drivers for the rear, but I wouldn't touch components unless you were going with an amp.
