Need Experienced Advice
I have a base RSX. I'm getting a JL W6, JL 250/1 amp, and JVC head unit for my car. I also want all four speakers and a 4-channel amp to power them. So far... from my VERY LITTLE experience I have, Rockford Fosgate seems to be the best speakers for clarity and treble. What I'm looking for in my speakers are the best sound quality, clarity, and treble. I do not need bass from my speakers. I have around $300 to spend on all 4 speakers. I would appreciate it very much if you gave me specific speaker models as recommendations. Also, what is component speakers? and what kind of speakers do i need, 2-way? 4-way? Does the RMS watts really make a difference? Sorry for all of these amateur questions, i really don't know my audio stuff. Which amp should i get to power these 4 speakers also?
Start out with a different amp. Like the JL 500/5. That will give you the 250 watts needed for your sub from one channel. Then you have 100 watts per channel for front speakers, and 25 watts per channel for rear speakers.
Then get some nice MB Quart components - premium series or better. Those are components. Components are speakers that are designed to play only certain frequencies of music for better quality.
The get some random speakers (cheap ones) or even the stock ones for the rear cause they are only need for rear fill.
RMS MEANS EVERYTHING.

The JL 500/5 is out of the question already for me because I have already purchased the 250/1. Also... I need more watts for the rear speakers because I am getting 6.5 speakers in the back. So do they have component speakers which have no bass at all and just highs?
Is your W6 a V2 model or AE and is it a 10 or 12. If the AE a 250/1 is OK if a V2 you should have a 500/1. If you have 300 bucks to spend on speakers, spend about 200 on the front and 100 on the rear. The front get components, which are a separate midrange speaker, tweeter and crossover. The rears could just be a coax. For your price range I recommed either a four channel e series JL amp or a Memphis amp.
