I like the B20z personally.......loads of low end torque. Most your power is at low RPMs. And if you want to go vtec it works just like the B18b. CRVtec's own....haha
Only thing is when you go with a B20 you will have to change the intake manifold because it sits to high and use a B18b manifold

I would say a b18b because its "kind of" built to rev to 7000-8000 rpm, or you can just sleeve it. The b20z are not built to rev to 8000 grand they have weak cylinder walls inside the block that is why alot of people sleeve them. I would rather go with a b18b because they are cheaper and you can always sleeve them in the long run. Even though they are alot of people who have b20 on this site who rev to 8000 every day without any problems. But its only a matter of time.

the only differance between the 2 is the boar. the b20 and b18b are the same block just the b20 has a bigger boar giving it weaker sleaves. if your going to sleeve it do the b20 get better low end toq and u can easily get the hp by new intake manifold and other simple mods. plus u will have a 2.0leter wich is perfect for boost.
