Default 2 piece 11" rotors are done...2 piece 12" rotors close to being finalized

Well after months of getting all the details right the 11" x 1" thick replacement 2 piece rotors are ready. I have 4 sets left from the first run.

For those of you not aware of this project, I was asked to see if there was a way to put a thicker rotor on the ITR using the stock caliper. The thicker rotor will help prevent any warping associated with severe usage, and the directional vanes will improve cooling.

These rotors will bolt onto the stock ITR with no mods. They weigh approx the same as the stock rotors. I've got them priced at $410/pair, with shipping. If you want slotting, add $50.

As for the 12" rotor package, I've got the basic dimensions down and should be test fitting the rotor and 4 piston caliper within the next week. These should fit under a 16" wheel, but I'll know for sure after the fitting.

Please explain how they fit and any special notes as to your brake pad changes... must be tight as hell... on the other hand, less any "quirks", I will want some... Hell, I'm impressed!

As a potental buyer, I'd really like to see some pics of the rotors on and off the car if you would... I'm sure a few others are checking their wallets as well...

I'll take some pics of the rotors installed on an ITR next week along with the 12" rotor fitment testing. I plan on trying to fit the 12" rotor inside the stock wheels with small 4 piston calipers too.

Frankly, I'd like to upgrade the calipers as well.
It would be beautiful if it fit in the stock wheels, though that's not really a problem!

Hey Fastbrakes

What about a 4pot caliper that fits the stock rotor and bolts on ala Spoon/Nissin?
I've been trying to find out the part number from the Spoon/Nissin caliper because I think if I do I can maybe order the same thing from Nissin w/o the Spoon name stamped on them. Has anyone found a set of Brembo's or any other lightweight caliper that bolts on?

The biggest problem with trying to bolt on 4 pot calipers is the wide spacing Honda uses for their calipers. Most compact calipers use a narrower mounting center. Since Honda owns Nissin, they can get things made the way the want them...

Yeah but what about ordering the 4pots straight from Nissin? Does anyone know the part#?
And I am interested in seeing what you put together on th 12" rotors.

I don't think they will sell the calipers direct due to contract...

...fastbrakes, are the fluid displacements close to the same on your caliper upgrades? I know Wilwood offeres the Dynalites with different piston sizes for that very reason...

Zues is correct, Spoon and Nissin are under contract. Spoon designed the calipers with Nissin and when anyone buys them they are the same ones you get from Spoon, A japanese company called Phase sells the same calipers and they say Spoon on them.
