HELP I'm going to boost my single cam, non-vtec, and Figured why not build a custom kit, its cheaper, and ill make more power in the end. Was looking at the greddy and apexi kit, but custom sounds nice to me.
So pretty much I need everything, Not sure on what turbo to get though. I'll be running a hack and stock internals. so my questions are.
What turbo to get? how big.....
Where can i get a good exhaust mani, that wont blow?
got the intercooler covered, and bov, and wastegate, and still looking for pipes... not sure where to get those... if anyone wants to help a stupid person out... please do
thanks

I honestly racked up a decent custom setup costwise, and when you figure in EVERYTHING needed to get it running well, you may as well just go with my planned SOHC setup:
greddy kit - 1450
1G DSM BOV - 40
1G DSM SMIC - 40
blue box - included
walbro 255lph intank - 100
boost gauge - 50
ACT clutch - 300 + install
Not too bad IMO. That's what I'm going to be running. I've got most of the parts, just saving for the Greddy kit. It's got everything you need to run a safe 5-6lbs. of boost, and less headaches than a custom kit.

we need some more info..How much you looking to spend? how much power are you trying to make, etc...BTW: if your interested my friend might be making some manifolds/downpipes and your local too...I have a custom kit on my Del sol
Use mandrel u-bends for the piping, and a t3 like the saab works great ( .42 / .48) compressor/ turbin. I ran that turbo on my sohc d15 for a while and it spooled nice and made decent power (139whp @ 5psi) for a sohc....I used a drag manifold
