As the title says, I want to piece together a turbo kit. Does anyone know of any good companies that I should go to.

Just get a kit the first time around. Seriously, if you are asking what to get, then you probobaly should save yourself the headache of peicing together a kit unless you have a damn good buddy who will hold your hand through the whole process. I tried to peice together a kit the first time around, and could'nt get it done. Just ****** up a pre-fab kit where you are sure to have all the stuff you need (including all bolts/nuts, etc...)

I have a bunch of friends that have turbo's and have done installs I just haven't asked them yet since I just decided I wanted turbo recently. I was just seeing if I could get a heads up from anyone on h-t.

Okay, thats cool. I was just trying to save yourself a lot of trouble and headaches. I wish I could help you out, but I work my SOHC and have no idea waht to do on a DOHC. I like my TiAL BOV and My Greddy Type 24 fmic. Other than that, I would NOT recommend the E-Manage.

I would buy a kit but I'd rather save some $ and get the parts that I want. Thanks for the advice though

what are you looking for?? and it also depends on what your goals are and how much you are willing to spend.

If we're talking used parts, you will save some money. With new parts, you will always pay more than buy a kit.

Re: Looking to piece together a turbo setup, any recommendations? (ben@importparts.com)
A buddy of mine pieced together a kit for his non-turbo dsm and spent a little over 1500. I don't really want used parts, I defintely want a brand new snail if I do go with used parts.
As for my goals, I want to start out at 5-6 psi until I rebuild in the summer. I want to run 10-12 psi max after the rebuild
