Eibach Sportlines VS Eibach Pro Kits. 94+ integra.
I have Eibach Sportlines on my car (94-01 integra 2 door) now and it's nice.
I have heard that Eibach Pro Kits are better quality and more expensive spring.
Are the Pro kits a better handling spring or what? Softer ride?
I would think the sportlines drops 1.8" would handle better. So Why charge more for the 1.3" pro Kit drop?
Are they really better? Anyone know the spring rates?
Anyone has tried both before on their car?

I have the Eibach Pro-kit on my 98 Integra and it lowers it 1.3 in front and 1.0 in back. The ride quality did not really change at all and thats something i wanted. I think it looks good to. Why they charge more i do not know? Its only like 20.00 more or so. As far as the handling between the 2? Im not to sure but i know my pro-kit handles really nice. Also the sportlines will kill your shocks alot faster then the pro-kit
i think the only difference is that the sport line drops the car more
i would think if the car is lower it will handel better
i would stay with the sportlines

to a certain point, there is a point of diminshing returns to everything you do to a car or most things in the world. The spring rate would also greatly affect the handling as well.
I have the SportLines and I'm starting to think they are too harsh, can I hear some more people with the Pro-Kit speak up on the ride and handling? And if you'd had both let us know how they compare?

I have the Sportlines with Tokico Blues and it totally killed my shocks. I like the handling but if you go that low get a better set of shocks. I sure wish I would have gotten Konis. I think the ride is nice for a daily driver I actually think it is smoother than stock and the handling is good. Not a big problem with ground clearance but I can bottom out inside my fenders. If I had the choice again I would still get the Sportlines but I would get Koni yellows. Oh well I paid $200 shipped for the sprins and shocks used so I'm happy. Eibach is a quality company.
I have the prokits and the blues and the ride quality is great, I feel the car handles really nice and I dont worry about bottoming out on any driveways. The drop is moderate and the wheel gap is greatly reduced, not slammed. I didnt want to mess with blowing shocks, bottoming out and camber kits.

An Eibach rep told my friend that the Pro-kit was designed for handling and the Sportline was designed for looks (drop). If this is so, I can understand why Eibach charges more for the Pro-kit.
But, if you look at the spring rates (Sportlines F460 R174 to 257 - Prokit F331 R126 to 194), the Sportlines have much greater spring rates. From looking at that, and the slightly lower drop the Sportlines give, IMO the Sportlines should handle better. Just remember that you will need much better shocks for the Sportlines with their higher rates and their more aggressive drop.

pro kit stiffer and allows for more shock travel = better ride, better handling and less time on bump stops, dosen't have the slamed look though.

May I ask how the Prokit is stiffer if the spring rates of the Sportlines are quite a bit more than the Prokit's?

I have the pro-kit on my 97GSR
They work awesome for me. The reason I didn't go with sportline is because I was worried about scraping the crap out of the bottom of my car.

i have a 98 ls and i went sportline everyone of my friends have sportline aswell. out of 3 1g talon's, 1 2g eclipse gsx , 98 civic ex, 94 civic b16 swap and my 98 teg ls mine has the best ride and the leist camber issue i am still ridin on stock tires and i have been lowered nearly a year. i love the drop and the car handles great my advice if your gonna go with eiback go sportline. a kid in town just dropped his with the arospeed which are like $130-50 said he loves them and they lower it a bit more than the sportlines. what exactly are you lookin for cosmetic and handeling? cosmetic only? if your gonna do it for looks id say arospeed they are cheaper and i hear the ride is decent.
call eibach, i went through this a while back, i've had a few different set ups on a 99 teg before i was happy.first i had S2 coil overs with adj tokios, then switched to sportline and then to pro kit and now a full 1 pc coil over. remembering back when i talked to eibach (and the feel of the springs) i was confused why the lesser drop spring (the pro kit) handled better than the sportline although the sportline sat lower. if you read the eibach add with the discription of the sportline it mentions "the most aggressive drop" not the best handling, have you seen how light the rear sportline spring is? its understeer city with out a big sway bar and that only helped so much. when i had them i found that the sportline spring was soft and i spent a lot of time on the bumpstops, the pro kit allows for more travel and because of that a better ride and better handling, but as i mentioned before it wont have that slammed look. (which i don't like and that's another reason i liked the pro kit)

Have you seen how light the rear Prokit springs are? Its "understeer city" with that setup as well.
BTW, I could see how the Sportlines don't handle well, as the rear is too much drop with too little of a spring rate.

hey Wiggie, how do those spring rate numbers above translate?? when i change springs and set up on my coil overs i order them by- XXX lbs per sq in/ 2.5 in (in my case) inside spring dia./ 8 or 10 in hieght, basically 500 lbs x 2.5ID x 10in. how do those numbers break down?
I can't remember how the number system works on the ERS springs. I know that GC and Eibach mark their springs different, even though they are the same spring.

riteon UDA!! i'm looking in to doing a new set up... again
Looks like ERS time
. sorry to get off on to coilovers... but... for the original question about the prokit and sportline. if you are really picky about how your car rides, the unlimited tuning capablities of like a GC (with all the different spring rates available) and koni YELLOWS just seem unbeatable, looking back on all the different set ups and money along the way.

Well I will be using my car for Auto-X and Drag.
1) I will be using Koni Yellows
2) Dont care about dropped look
So what's the ruling? Sportlines or Pros?

Personally, neither. I'm not saying that are bad but they are far from a decent setup. They both have a lot of push. Personally, I'd go with Ground Controls to match your Koni Yellows. If you run Ground Controls and Koni Yellows, you have plenty of room for upgradability in the future.
To answer your question though, and due to me not having any experience with the Sportlines, go with the Prokit, if you must go with a Eibach spring kit.

i have the sportlines with stock shocks, and its been almost 2 years. At first they didn't look to low, but now i think they are. I would get the prokits if i could chose.
if you are going to autoX spend the extra $50-$60 or so and get the GC. adjusting the under/ oversteer with the height of the coilover spring is worth the extra money not to mention you can swap it to a really heavy spring in the rear on drag days for your drag set up and then back to street or autoX set up. you can't do that with a prokit or sportline.
