This may be obvious, but you are going to have to take the whole centre console off to change the boot I think...
As for the ****...I have a momo one, and you have to use an allen key to loosen little bolts first....then it just twists off..what **** are you using?

Put some sack into it!
Twist it off. It comes off.

Then take a wrench and unod the nut.
Yank the console, and get your trusty Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver and change the boot.

Done!

Do you want people who don't know the answer to reply?

Keep in mind - you titled the topic "shift ****" and not "how do I remove shift ****". So anyone might view it thinking that you were selling one or showing a new one or whatever, but couldn't tell from the topic name what you were really asking about.

This is how you do it...I just installed a JDM shift boot a couple of weeks ago.

to get the **** off, just twist it off...the bolt is only there so you can line up the H pattern on top of the ****.

You have to take off the center console, two screws under the ashtry, two screws on either side under the dash for the center console. Pop off the plastic piece inside where you put down the ebrake handle and remove the two screws there. Two more screws on each side (you have to move both seats forward to get to them) of the console. Slide the back portion of the console off...done w/ that...

If you removed all of the screws from under the ashtray and under the dash portion, the front portion of the console should slide out...

Unscrew four screws holding the shift boot in and replace...It's that easy...

Hope this helps

Jason
