MSD6A/L & OBD-II
Is there a reason that on the MSD site it states the 6A and 6AL are only legal on non-OBDII cars? Will it even work on an OBD-ii car? i dont see why other than the fact that it cant change the ignition timing?

I have an MSD 6AL on my '99 GSR and I have no probs with it. Although, I don't really need it. I got if for cheap and I was curious what it would do for me. Answer: Nothing. The stock ignition works fine unless I was pushing 200whp, like everyone was telling me. Now I'm too lazy to pull it out and sell it!
Don't waste your $$ unless you are going FI or are making 200 hp to the wheels!
BTW, my brochure says it legal on all OBD2 vehicles.

What about for fuel conservation purposes? Everyone who I know has one says they get 2-5 more mpg on it which is a good # to me...I could care less if it gives me 0 hp although i've got some crower 403's on the way.

I've got CTR cams in there so fuel conservation isn't on my priorities list. hehe! I wanted a more complete spark when in the upper RPM's. But i still say skip it and save your $$, unlike me!
