Default Suspension Experts please help ...

I have a 95 Accord LX.

The problems that I've been having is that my car is nose diving to the right when I brake. Also my steering feels very unstable at speeds of 70 mph, and my car wants to wiggle, in those cement lines on the freeway. This, has been bothering me for months and months. I've gotten my alignment done atleast 3 times. I've greased up the pins to the calipers, to see if it were my calipers that wer sticking. I've got KYB AGX shocks, can't be blown shocks. Got ground control coilovers, and Progress Camber Kit. I've also replaced the strut rod bushings that effect caster, since the person at the alignment shop said that the right side of my car has a caster that was slightly off, I then got an alignment soon after, but still the same problem!??....

The toe setting is correct all the way around...too.

I am thorougly confused, and it makes driving miserable when it does these things... I would appreciate any help to pin point to the problem area.

Thanks

hhmmmm, looking at your brake pads are they worn evenly

this is usually a symptom of toe settings, what are they exactly set at? factory recommended or what the shop thought accurate

it could also be a tire stagger problem, try rotating the tires. And look for uneven wear.

Check out your front right radius rod. It could be loose, and it definately would make you dive hard to the right when braking. It sure as hell could make you feel all loose on uneven pavement, and I think that alignment guys who are not too professionnal don't pay attention to it too much, as it usually doesn't just come loose.

If that is the problem, re-tighten the bolt, and lock it with another bolt and you should be good to go again.

I wouldn't suggest you drive until that problem is solved, if that is the problem.

Has your car been in an accident and your chassis is no longer straight?

Make sure you coilovers are set at the same height.

With the vibration at speed, I'd start by checking out the tires; look for uneven wear, and have them balanced and rotated.

I have not been in an accident.

The radius rod bushing was replaced, but I will check to see if it's tight still.

Thanks, for all the inputs.

check the ball joints of the UCA and LCA and knuckle. Those sometimes go out and have a little play in them. I have that problem right now with the UCA's.

Yea, tommorrow I will be checking to see if anything is loose or worn/cracked.

I'm leaning more towards, the tie-rod being loose, causing the loose steering.

my steering felt really loose, i could keep the wheel straight, but the car would jump from side to side with road crown/bumps. replacing the tie rod ends with brand new ones was exactly what i needed.

also, every time they align your car, they have to bust loose the tie rod end from the steering knuckle which puts mad pressure on the joint. both of my tie rod end bolts would turn with the nut when i tried to put them back together.

I couldn't believe it was the camber kit~!

You guys won't even believe what the problem was when I was checking out the suspension components, and cleaning out the brakes. As I completed my brake cleaning, I just happened to give the upper control arm on the right side of my car and it was loose in the back-end of it towards the firewall~!! I couldn't believe it didnt' fall off, which would have been devastating. I have the Progress camber kit on, I guess it came loose. I made sure all the other ones were tight, they were a little loose.

My nose diving to the right problem is fixed, and my steering feels alot more firmer.
