I need new RCA interconnects. Any recommendations?
Does anyone have any recommendations for some good RCA interconnects. I need 6 channels @ ~12ft each. My current RCAs hum and just plain suck. I want RCAs that will not be as likely to induce noise into my system.
Has anyone gotten RCAs from KnuKonceptz?

Monster Cable makes really good RCAs, and they have a three pair, single line. So you only have to run one wire that contains all your connections. Good quality cable too; Oxygen free, twisted pair, gold connections, very low (if any) noise...
Ok. So I've been reading up on the Monster Cable brand cables in all their different varieties. Will these actually get rid of noise in my system? Will I actually notice an audible difference between this and a plain-jane RCA? Will this sound better than say a KnuKoncepts RCA?
Help me out guys.

KnuKoncepts RCA are good too. Really the only things you want in a RCA cable are: Good shielding (to help keep interference, and thus noise out), and an oxygen free core (to prevent corrosion, and maintain the correct impedence). Any brand that makes good with those qualities "should" be OK.
The most important thing is obviously in the installation though. If you run your RCAs along side your power, or power control then your VERY liable to introduce noise. It's best to run your RCAs completely separate from any other wire runs; i.e. run the RCAs though the center of the car, speaker wire runs on the drivers side, and power/ remote turn-on on the passenger side. Another lesser known noise adder is the fuel pump. If you run your RCAs though the center of the car, then under the backseat, your probably going to "hear" the power going to the fuel pump...

Yeah, they have some shorted contacts because I can hear noise when i wiggle them. I just want to get a good set of RCAs so I can be assured that they are not the problem in the future.
I have tried a few things to get rid of the noise in my system but was unaware of the fuel pump problem. All my wires are run accordingly and I tried grounding my headunit at the same spot as my amp. Neither fixed my problem. The fuel pump issue is something I never thought about and can't wait to try.
So do you (everyone) think I should just save some money, skip the Monster Cables, and go with the KnuKonceptz RCAs? I just want a quality setup. The $ difference isn't that big of a deal to me but why spend it if I don't hafta?

I guy i talk to on another forum (just car audio) is big into competitions and car audio in general for that matter. He swears by KnuKoncepts wiring. I trust his opinion. I dunno if that helps you.
I have Monster Cable RCAs in my hatch, i love 'em. They're nice looking (if that matters to ya), and it made installation easy as hell (b/c of the one big fat cable thing). Someone on H.Tech was selling Monster Cable RCAs, i don't remember who, but you might ask what kind of prices he/she has.

I just PMed him. I would like the ease of just running 1 cable. Hopefully he will still have them as I am having a hard time finding them anywhere else.
I just hope that these cables in conjunction with the fuel pump tip will get rid of the noise.

the monster cable micro 6 channel rca is badass! it is about as thick as a pencil and is probably one of the quietest rca's out there.
What kind of stereo do you have? Some of the high end stereos allowed you to run fiber optic cable. No way is noise getting into this type of cable. This is how I ran my stereo.

If you are good at soldering, and you have more time then money, why not build your own?
You can go here:

To cut to the chase, you can get some Canare Star Quad microphone cable (belden makes lots of good raw cable too) get some $1 gold plated rca ends, and make cables for fractions of what you can buy them for. To top it all off, you can get them in almost any color you want, and they are custom lengths.
Just a thought.

AND if you had a drill and somewhere to tie down the wire, you could make your own twisted interconnects! :D
Just reinforcing rcurley's idea...
