Default radiator fan??

hey,
have a b16 in my crx and i don't think the fan is coming on(because i cant hear or when i drive it around then pop the hood and look it is not on).. but she never over heats even when i do drive her hard. and she stays at the right temp on the temp gauge. does it sound like it is coming on to you? or does it cool enough without the fan, because i would not think it would, or does it just never get hot enough to come on?

I never hear mine come on, and I never saw it on. Mine never overheats though, so I'm not worried.

I wouldnt worry about it if your car's temp stays constantly cool...you can always drain your radiator and run it hot and find out...joke.

mine comes on but not when you are pushing it. because if you are moving, than the air is cooling the radiator. mine only comes on when sitting in traffic.

My fan didn't work when I got my car(something in the wiring). Whenever I had been on the highway for a while and then came to a standstill it would start overheating. I just wired up a switch inside the cabin so I could turn it on whenever my gauge starts to go up.

I'm currently battling both fans (rad and condenser)...the fuse for the condenser fan blows frequently...the fuse is 15amps but the fan runs at about 3.5 amps. Must be a short.

I suspect the radiator fan is bad...period. I've never seen it on, even while the car is sitting still, idiling, and overheating. Power was getting past the final relay on it's way to the fan, so I'll see if it works when I replace the fan motor (have a junkyard one on hand...)

My b16a's fan does work, but I have only seen it on mabey once. It cools very well without it, as long as the temp is not going up, you are cool. Ryan

ahah! today it was hot so i went for a drive.. i came home and decided to sit and stare at the fan to see if it would come on . so im sitting there and i look away for a sec when i look back down the fan was on! now i am happy. things like this just get on my nerves when i think something is messed up or i hear a noise it just makes me go crazy and i don't stop thinking about it until i find out what is wrong and fix it

after my car has shut off, and it's sitting for maybe 10 minutes, the cooling fan will come on for 2 seconds, then shut back off. about 5 minutes later, it'll do the same thing, come on for 2 seconds then shut off.

i think something is wrong with it and that's why the car's constantly overheating. if it only comes on for 2 seconds every time the car is OFF, who's to say it dosen't do that while the engine is running. cause i've never seen it on even when steam is pouring out of my radiator cap...
