do i have a problem??????????????
when my car is idling and probably driving, the temp stays on about 220-230 degrees. about ever 2 minutes my fan will come on for no more than 5 seconds and then shut off. so basicly my fan comes on for a couple seconds about ever 2-3 minutes? what the **** is that going to do? it does nothing, my temp stays around 220-230 degrees isnt that hot?

well if the engine was over heating the fan would come on. the fan must only come on until it drops to a certain point then shuts off. I don't really know the regular operating temps of engines, but I think it is around 230

Sounds about right. The fan will turn on for a cool second just to cool down the radiator. While your driving the fan will hardly turn on due to the air your car is giving the radiator.
Dont be paraniod as long as your not over heating your fine.

2-3 minutes as soon as you start the car in the morning . .or 2-3 minutes at idle when the car has already been warmed up? . . . if the latter, then it seems normal. car is running but no air is passing through the radiator to cool water . .hence fan comes on.
