Default strange behavior with brakes @ expo

odd thing happened to me at the expo....i swap brake pads...and as soon as i go off to the waiting paddock to pick up yasu my brakes stop working. The brake pedal goes right into the floorboard without pressure. .

after pulling back into the my waiting area the brakes start working again, automagically. i check the fluid, everything seems normal.

can anyone explain this? i'm still baffled to this day.

Perhaps the piston wasnt "settled" against the rotor yet. When i push the piston back in when swapping pads and then go to brake for the first time, foot goes to floor for one or two pushes...

you need to pump the pedal a few times. always do this when changing pads so you dont fly off onto the road leaving your parking lot (not that i've done that)

a full stroke of the pedal (heh, he said stroke) doesnt correspond to full stroke (heh, he said it again) of the caliper piston.

probably an excess buildup of dirt (from offroading) on the brakes..... j/k bro, what they said.

Gotta pump da brakes to get pressure back after changing pads/compressing the caliper piston.
