Um.. changed my pads and everything is acting up?
So I changed my brake pads.. All went well aside from the fact that I noticed my left caliper was a tad more difficult to push in than the right. So I get it done and everything went smoothly, but now my brakes are doing all sorts of crazy ****. I first thought I needed to bleed my brakes for some reason because the pedal was goofy and wasn't going 'down' a consistent distance before the brakes came on. But then I also noticed that sometimes the car would start to vibrate - sometimes. Then other times it would feel like my brakes were dragging a bit, and when I applied the brakes it felt like the right side had a stronger 'grip'. So I'm thinking I've got a fuckered up caliper, and maybe now a bad master cylinder, but I don't get why it all got fucked up all at once? The brake job went fine..

Yes I have a semi-deserted area around my place that I went to immediately following the install. The install seemed to go well.. I deliver pizza and throughout the night I had noticed these interesting/scary issues, off and on.

It sounds like the sliders on the calipers may be bad. They corrode and stick very easily, and now that there's thicker pads, they're trying to slide on a part that is probably all gunked up. I would get a hardware kit from Napa (about $5) or whatever, and replace the sliders with lots of bearing lube and see if that helps.

did u bleed the car correctly u could have gotten air in the system so once in awhile when u brake your pedal will go further down because there is no pressure just air at that moment. get a honda manual if u dont already have one and follow the bleeding procedure sounds to me like air in the system.

THANK YOU. You were right.. I went out and bought new sliders at autzone for $23 (both sides), and installed them and the brakes are perfect again. Before I had lubed the original lower sliders, but not the top because I didn't even remove them to place the pads, but damn the tops were nasty and one was slightly warped . The grease was all gunky and gross. THanks again, I never knew those got replaced, then again, I never changed brakes on a car with 211K.

Glad it worked out for $23 as opposed to maybe more that 10x that if you had a bad MC and calipers..
