WHAT HE MEANS IS STOP BEING VAGUE!
1. FRONT OR REAR?
2. JUST PADS, OR ROTORS, CALIPERS, HOSES, LINES, HARDWARE?
3. HOW DID YOU PUSH THE PISTON BACK INTO THE CALIPER?

You don't have to bleed the brakes when changing pads.
1.Make sure the puck is all the way back in the caliper.
2.Once it is all back together you have to pump the brake pedal like 5 or so times to get the pressure back in the lines.
You should be fine after that if everything was installed correctly.

Did you take the Brake resevoir cover off in the engine bay? if you didnt. i think you need to rebleed your brakes

sounds like you got air in your system, figure out how to bleed system and go from there. just replacing pads there isnt any reason to bleed the system but since you did....
