Default useing nitrous

I am looking at putting a wet kit on my 91 SI. What I would like to know is how much spray do you guys run? What would a SI with 140000 miles handle as far as shot size. What have you done to safe guard against engine failure? The car runs great hold good compression on all cylinders.

Just wondering

you can go 50-55 shot with no problems.. just make sure you run 91 and take care of your timing and plugs. anything above 60 your takin your chances but it can be done safely. good luck, have fun and dont get addicted, its a expensive addiction.

I am aready a lost cause on the addiction. I race a 98 mustang GT with a 250 shot. (yea it is built to handle it.)

Thanks for the help. Do most people run wet or dry kits. Just wondering I have enough extra parts to put togather a wet kit.

I run a dry kit. Just curious, your Mustang is a wet setup right?

I am trying to figure out what a dry single fogger is safely capable of on this motor.

Just go get a used wet kit for 300.00 and pill the hell out of it. A wet kit it going to be alot easier on the bottom end any way so you can run a bigger shot.

I don't really see why if the bigger injectors and fuel enrichment is there. It seems to me I would trust the atomization of a good injector over a cheap NOS or NX fuel and nitrous fogger. Now the new NOSzle system is bad *** but I don't have the money for that.

zex dry kit I have has gone though 9 bottles in on my D15b2 ( weaker motor ) and the motor has 155k miles on it. I haven't had ONE LITTLE problem with it. I'm hooked on the zex kits. The NX might get you a little more power ( people just say that, I've never seen it proven ), but Zex is the easiest and safest kit. The line popped off my FPR on time ( my fault ) and the zex kit stopped its self, on a NOS or NX kit, I'd have been picking my rods up with a shovel off the road.

I'd think with bigger injectors and fuel pump ( say 360cc form my stealth and my stealth factory fuel pump ) a 100-125 shot would be maxing it out ( with race gas of course ), but sooner or later the rods will give up just b/c the crazy power !!

92hp dx motor with a 75 shot on it, who'd thought it'd last though 9 bottles and still run perfect ?? ME !! Also had stock exhaust and manifold minus a punched cat.

For hondas = zex is the shizzy.

Also my friend ran a Jackson Racing S/C on his HF motor with a 55shot. It took 3 bottles and never gave up !! Now that's a little more crazy !!! It was still slow.
