Default Turbo or SC??

Im considering a Vortech Supercharger or a Turbo setup. Any one with either of these set ups or advice on them , any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I also need to know the stock compression of the S2K motor!!

Thanks

The turbo's are really restrictive on the s2k since the headers are crammed really tightly on the passenger side. You have to do a 90 degree off the headers, and a 180 degree off the turbo to get the exhaust to the back of the car .. I think the superchargers are a better bet, since you have around 10 feet in front of the engine to work with, and you can pretty much run a straight pipe through the sc into the im.

Stock compression is 11.0:1

Yeah, You would only be able to run low boost if you were to bolt up a turbo to the s2000. The walls on the s2000 are thicker then the b series motors, but it is still a weak design for boost. They are very good for N/A due to the cooling of the open deck.

get the comptech kit, it comes with everything you'll ever need and put down about 280whp and is really reliable. Also comptech is also comming out with an intercooler kit or somthing that comes with a higher boost pully

I would go with the comptech supercharger. It is only 6psi and pushes out near 300 rwhp, and is reliable. Check out the S2ki site for info on this there is a ton. A few guys even had the supercharger installed at the dealer and it saved voiding anything on the warranty side of things.

a friend of mine i think is gonna get the Comuptech...the new one...with the larger pully and the aftercooler...so he can crank the boost to over 11psi...just what ive gathered from some friends....another friend supposedly has a turbo on his S2k..and i dont notice it when i see him driving..but i guess that would be more top end..and with the crazy vtec the low end would be perfect match so id say SC

wow! i didn't know you could have all your aftermarket parts installed at the dealer so that you don't void the warranty....

Is he going to lower his compression? Just curious because that seems a little high to run on a 11.0:1 engine. Tell him that he should look into a little head work or something of that nature to lower his compression. It would be safer on the engine. Wouldn't want to blow a head gasket or anything. When is the new sc with the aftercooler coming out?
