LS crank&rods w/gsr pistons in a GSR block
would it work if i took a gsr block and put in a ls crank, shotpeened the rods, and some new gsr pistons, and had it balanced. then i would have the ls torque and gsr high horsepower, all while retaining the gsr girdle, oil squirters, etc....
saying that i had it balanced to 9500k, and put a b16 head on it with valvetrain, cams and ****. this would be a bad *** set-up right? or am i missing somethin important, or did i do somethin wrong? thanks, im a newbie thats about to spend about 4300 on a swap and i want to get my moneys worth for an all-motor setup.

im pretty sure you can do it but im not sure if you can keep the oil squiters on the block you might have to modify them but then again im not 100% sure
why would i have to modify or get rid of the oil squirters? wouldnt that actually help out on a high revving engine?
I believe they are telling you to do this because you will have to modify your block for the ls stroke increase.
The part to modify is where the squirter tip is....i think

i will know soon enough i am doing the same thing. i am just wondering what machining needs to be done and what bearings to use. i will be using ctr pistons as well. i will modify the lines before i take them out though.

you have to machine the pistons to fit the rods..yes it will work..its good, but B18C crank is fine, no need to swap but its your money...ill trade you my B20 for your B18C...?
