which way to turn the dizzy to retard timing? towards rear of car or front?
i need to retard timing slightly from where it is now. Do i turn it clockwise or counterclockwise? thanks
Turn towards the front of the car to retard, and towards the firewall to advance.
But either way, get a timing light and do it right

thanks , i am running 10 psi and its turned all the way towards the firewall. ill fix that asap! thanks again.
When moving the distributor: if the idle goes up, you are advancing it. If the idle goes down then it is retarding it.
thanks for the posts. I will get it fixed asap, it ran like complete crap(bogging when i floored it), so hopefully this will fix the problem. thanks guys
